Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    T5 2003-2009 Auto transmission interchangeability

    I am wondering if anybody knows if the autos are interchangeable amongst models.
    I know they wont fit on different flavour engines , but im wondering specifically about the 2.5 tdi range.
    AXE & BPC and AXD, BNZ which from what I gather are 130kw & 98 kw groups respectively.
    Im getting conflicting information on this.

    FTR, I have a transporter with BPC which put something through the sump & left a hole the size of a 50 cent coin. has a good auto. Either going to part out & sell the auto or try & fix the engine.
