Air Con compressor broken?

Hi - while idling stationary with the air con on i heard a pop under the bonnet and what looked like steam come in to the van. Under the bonnet a cover had popped off a valve close to the back of the Ac unit. From this it looked like coolant or refrigerant was spraying everywhere until it stopped. The engine coolant level didn’t go down so just hoping I can still drive it? Any advice here welcome. Thanks - photo attached.

Sounds like something's failed in the aircon.
Easiest way to test is to turn it on and see if it gets cold!
Looks like a visit to your local aircon person.
