  • Service requirements 2015 tdi400 transporter and dsg question

Hi there, I can’t find anywhere online the required items that need servicing, like dsg oil, brake fluid etc. Can anyone help me with a link?
Also ive read there’s dry and wet clutch dsg out there, what is mine or how do I find out? Thanks!

Will be a wet clutch DSG.

Engine oil and filter every 15K/12mths
    Air filter every 45K/3yrs
Fuel Filter and DSG service every 60K/4yrs
Brake fluid and cabin filter every 2yrs
Haldex oil (if 4Motion) every 3yrs

Cheers, but is there an actual spreadsheet or something with everything like belts and other fluids?

is the dsg oil different to the gear oil or are they the same?

Only DSG oil in the DSG trans.

Manual gearbox, bevel box and rear diff (if fitted) is 75W-90 full synth. No set service interval for those.

One thing I forgot was timing belt is due every 105K/7yrs. Recommend doing the V belt and water pump at the same time.

            I think that's a bit out dated.
The toothed belt on a 2.0 TDI is about 210k to 240k by memory.
Most of the filter stuff would be close though.

No, the timing belt is still 105K/7yrs.

                  Not for the Australian market.

At 210K, you would be close to putting your third water pump in it by then anyway.

Pulled out the water pump on my second belt change (395k......I think) and it looked as good as the new one!

There are 2 types of water pumps now and for some time. Most likely, when VW specifies longer timing belt replacement intervals, there would be HD water pump used with appropriate bearing and axial seal to go the distance.

It's in a thread around here somewhere...........but a summary is (with only rough memory klms)
The engine light came on just after the warranty period and after reading up about it, thought I'd get around to it at some stage as it didn't affect the running of the vehicle. (sometime after 200k?).
Some time later, the flywheel started rattling..........I put up with that until it was almost undriveable and got VW to do that and the clutch......290k?
When they did that, they whacked the computer on it and at was coming up as EGR electrical malfunction.......the usual fault.
(their rough quote was $2800......if that's what it was!)
So after gathering all the info and help from the aforementioned video, I grabbed one from VW and did the job.
Took two goes on the computer to initialise it but it finally tested OK.
It did seem to have a bit less power but gave a smoother operation through the power band afterward.
