Pre and post 2010 transporters

Hi all

Im currently looking to buy a 4motion transporter and I've noticed in a few threads on here about people mentioning post 2010 models. Are the post 2010 models better mechanically or have less issues? Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this.

They're a much of a muchness in terms of problems.

Post 2012 is probably the pick of the bunch. T6 seems ok too so far, if the budget permits.

Yeah a T6 is out of the budget unfortunately. Is there anything that I should look for when inspecting some? Im going to assume that manuals are a bit cheaper in terms of servicing?

A good condition pre 7/2006 manual, should've less issues and would be my pick.

I'm talking from my own experience, owing one for 11 years. It was ultra reliable, needed only 1 water pump in 145,000km. I should've never sell it.
