Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Accelerating Felt Like It Sucked All Power Away

    Hi guys,

One day I was in traffic & accelerated while changing lanes. But when I put my foot down there was absolutely no power. It felt like all the power was sucked away as I put my foot down. I feel like it was when the gear had changed but I was in a dangerous situation so didn't think to check the display.

In the last couple months I've had this problem maybe 3 times.

Does anybody know what could be happening?

    Thanks.

Have you booked it in to have it scanned for fault codes?

Is it a DSG or manual?

DSG but interestingly haven't had the problem since around when I posted. Can't think why.
