I think 35mm is too aggressive...
I had 18x8 on 45mm offset (passat/eos wheels) and it was just right, the sliding doors are 2-3mm from touching the tyres
The ones I have now I think are 45mm 8.5" wide and I am getting some rubbing in the backMain Dub:
