Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

It's a shame that they don't have 4motion option.Otherwise it is quite spacious inside, especially Maxi.

It is a shame we don't get the 4motion here; we don't get that engine size though.
They haven't exactly released them yet, I think VW's press dept jumped the gun a bit. we won't get them in the dealership for at least another couple of weeks (i'd be extremely surprised if it's before christmas) and I'm only going to do training on them on Monday/Tuesday next week....Daily Car: Random BMWs | My Toy: R33 Skyline GT-R | GF's Car: 1954 Beetle 'Oval' | Our (Her) Car: Alfa Romeo MiTo Sport

I wouldn't be holding breath too much for it Dermot. I know Franz was very adamant about it happening but when I spoke to Phil West about it, his response was 'Oh yeah, we're looking into it' .... Certainly makes it sound a bit like those vapourware 3200GVM Transporters from T5GP training
Still, fingers crossed!!Daily Car: Random BMWs | My Toy: R33 Skyline GT-R | GF's Car: 1954 Beetle 'Oval' | Our (Her) Car: Alfa Romeo MiTo Sport

I think that there would be a market for it. I certainly would consider, especially if there were other options like raised suspension for rough roads and diff locks.Performance Tunes from $850Wrecking RS OCTAVIA 2 Link

I hope like hell that they do it. It'll be awesome. I'm pretty sure Seikel do off road suspension etc... http://www.vw-offroad-seikel.de/inde...=1&tt_productsDaily Car: Random BMWs | My Toy: R33 Skyline GT-R | GF's Car: 1954 Beetle 'Oval' | Our (Her) Car: Alfa Romeo MiTo Sport

I had a look at a Toffee Brown TDI250 Maxi Life on Saturday. Compared to my '07 camper, it is like they have revised everything to make it just a bit nicer. Looks good, still no glovebox lid though!
On the VW site:
This brochure suggests that there is a TDI250, TDI320 (which is confirmed) and also lists the spec for TDI320 4motion, with the Maxi being a DSG-only model.
TDI320 being $47k is nearly Mutivan 103TDI money, which has a better gearbox and more steel & glass for your money. Add 4motion it is going to be one seriously expensive caddy!
