  • Polo 6N2 throttle body replacement / idle speed

    Hi all,

After replacing the throttle body on a 6N2 Polo, what is the procedure to realign it?

Does it need to be done through VCDS?

Also, does anybody know the correct idle speed range when in gear for an AHW engine (eg waiting at traffic lights) ?

    Thanks

      Idle speed should be 850rpm.

Once it's replaced, turn the key to 'On', and leave it for a minute or so. Then start it and see if the idle is stable, and around 850rpm. Then try revving it up and letting it come back down to idle, and once again, check for stability and correct idle speed.

Just to recap though it doesnt need VCDS to adapt, i can be adapted by G scan, Hanatech, Autologic and last but not least Launch
