Factory stereo to aftermarket facia adapter

Could someone please point me towards a facia adapter that will allow a standard single DIN stereo to fit with room below for storage?

I've searched high and low, but cannot find one.
My car currently has an after market stereo fitted but the adaptor doesn't fit perfectly which is bugging me.

Looking for something that will fit properly and look nice.

Unfortunately not.

The original stereo appears to have been slightly larger than double DIN.

The car has a standard DIN stereo installed now, plus something similar to what you pointed out...but that leaves a 4-5mm gap around the top of the hole.

So it looks like I need some kind of plastic trim that fits the hole, for the stereo and spacer to then fit into if that makes sense.

edit: I think this is no good, but I'm just making it smaller text in case you think it's OK. I think I was confused about the width v's the height

how about this? it says it fits the wider hole... get two, one on top for the stereo, and another for the space below?

I want to know this stuff as well, I bought a single DIN player for my Focus but had the same trouble so didn't get around to putting it in. Would be good to put it to some use in the Polo

That appears to be the one needed. The plastic surround is almost square which looks to be what this year of polo needs.

The other link you showed with the rounded edges is for the later polo with the rounded stereo/surround.

Picked up my fascia adapter from JB Hifi back in the day, speak to someone from the car audio department, fit perfectly.
