  • Grill Modification...

Hey Guys...As some of you may know I had a bit of an altercation with a Toyota Hilux back in March that necessitated me in getting a new Bonnet(and cool paint job for the cost of a carton of Corona's), new grill insert, and new passenger door.
I managed to grab some of the damaged parts that came off the car after the accident just in case I needed them(ok, so I'm a hoarder!!). I had a bit of free time today, so i grabbed out the damaged front grill, and took to it with a pair of Aviation Snips and a Dremel Tool and had a bit of a play around with it.
I'm not finished yet, but when I am, the grill will be painted gloss black, and added to the front of my car. Here are the progress shots...

    Full Damaged Grill...

The actual damage to the Grill...

    Initial cut out...

Bearing in mind, if it looks like puss when it is fitted, I'll just throw my old one back on.

Hahahahaha...Nah, not the look I'm going for, but just thought I would have a play with it...I'll just see how it goes, and if it looks crap, then its going in the bin. The main reason I kept the grill was for a spare red surround and the GTI badge.
