Sharkie has some of his cheap front mounts that need piping too. Most exhaust shops could make an exhaust system, do you want R&D with it though?

i got pulled over tonight and while the cop was breathizein me 2 others was looking at the front and rear its if they were looking for something.

i dont know just thinking maybe a new law or somthing..

In melb u can have one, either intake mod or cooling mod. the cops just trying to scare u lol.

Mostly always look for how much tread you have left. Common thing during rbt's.

There is a law in the works regarding noise levels, i.e. if your car is 85db from the factory it cannot be any louder than that. But there's a lot of problems with that theory as you would expect; how do you continually test it and what about people with aftermarket exhausts currently? Which means cannons might become illegal - hooray!

I don't think an ADR change like that can be retrospective... It will be for cars made after the date the change was introduced...

You will have to comply to the ADR for the year in which your car was built

I don't know why you would want an exhaust much louder than stock anyway... it is pretty loud as it is

I dont know how loud your car sounds but I can barely hear my exhaust from inside the car. I would hardly call the standard exhaust loud.

I had my mate drop me off at the pub in my car the other night, and I was impressed by the exhaust note my car produced, and my exhaust is stock, and I haven't had the ECU tuned. I'm really quite happy with it.

If in doubt pay an exhaust shop to test it and give you a certificate, show that to the coppa and they'll more than likely shut up.

Some front mounts are not legal. Its to do with the mounting. If it sticks out at all or would alter pedestrian safety you could be defected.

What year is yours?? Mine is quite loud inside that car to the point it vibrates the fibreboard boot floor on run off... and thats stock?

Does anyone know if VW changed the exhaust design?

Mine is chipped, and u can't really hear the exhaust... u hear the turbo spool more than it to be honest unless windows down... but the wind + radio drown it out... i've driven behind polo's, and they sound pretty good... a little louder than your average car, but not loud... shame, nice note.
