LOL, Good luck with that. When I had my BBS rims done, I was presented with a set of colour cards that had....oooh....50 variations between black and charcoal....and don't forget...anthracite!

Anthracite is good, just another colour between the process of choosing between black or charcoal

If I was you I would suggest getting your wheels not powdercoated but 2 pack paint, its a little more expensive but they will last and also come up looking 92347263x better than powdercoating.

Problem is - if you go too black you lose all the detail in the rim, and going too light may incorrectly contrast with the colour of the car.

I went for Dulux Precious Steel Pearl powdercoat in satin (see avatar above) which I thought contrasted reasonably well against red.

Can't recall the code of mine, but it has a lovely touch of 'rose' in it, which enhances the red

Choices are Satin Black; Alloy Silver; (Submit colour). Please post up other logical suggested colours - nothing in the likes of pink, etc; thanks.

*EDIT* Please consider the photo was taken late afternoon - so the Satin black will be brighter.
Haha I first thought you had a problem with brake dust...

But yeah go charcoal/gun metal - next on the list for me would be to get the stock GTI rims powdercoated gun metal, then a set of chrome bolt covers as highlights

I'm thinking of red bolt overs. Might end up getting my brakes painted red as well, but we'll see how we go with funds

Having a shot at me Tim ..well, that was the pompous reason I gave my gf (expert in design/art) for why the rims had to be changed, worked a treat. Wouldn't want her thinking I was some philistine

Is it me or do Chrome wheels look ugly on just about any car AMG63 down to Festiva's, a nice silver is so much more classier imo

If your considering some red colour coding then go black wheels with a red lip.

                          Anthracite grey FTW!

I wish someone else with a Candy White GTI Pog would paint their rims this colour so I can see the result - I am still struggling to decide if I should take the plunge and change the color of the rims to anthracite grey?!

well my car is black - but ive got anthracite rims now and those are accented by a silver lip - heres what it looks like (side on)

then what it looks like at other angles

                            heres the actual wheel

maybe someone could photoshop one of those pics to make th ecar white to give you an didea of how white will look with anthracite wheels

I like those, Naughty. Reckon they'd go well with white as well.
