New or used and what to look out for??

Hey guys its getting pretty close to buy time and im wondering what you would suggest i buy, new or used?

Im going to look at a Black Magic '08 model with 6,000k's on the weekend and he's asking $25,500 with leather and sun roof so i was thinking this may be a better buy than spending the extra 5 or so grand on new with the same options as it still has 2 years warranty aswell.

What should i be looking out for problem wise in a 2nd hand model especially with such low k's as it sounds a little sus to me

I think you could get away with less than 30k new with leather and sunroof couldn't you ?

Does your siggy say 5.8L TwinTurbo GTS? Is that the old aussie 5L bored out to 5.8 then twinturboed? jesus.

Not sure, if i can get a newy in Black for under $30 with those options then i'd definately go new

Yeah the GTS was a factory 5.7ltr stroker then i blew some pistons when the vortech blower set up went on so it got a full rebuild with forged rods/pistons and stronger crank heads etc then things kind of got a little out of hand and i sold the blower for the twin turbo set up thats currently in the works. Im going to run about 20psi into the old girl to see how much courage i really have

id be incredibly surprised at someone getting metalic/leather/roof for under 30 considering rrp is $35k or so. I reckon 25 is pretty sweet

I kind of figured with all the options it'd be up around the $32-33K mark.

Im even thinking of going to a 2nd hand povo pack one and getting some custom leather trim done as from what i've read the standard leather and stitching doesn't hold up too well. Might be a better option as im not too fussed on the heated seats.

I paid $29K with metallic paint and leather and didn't do any bargaining so you should be able to get one with the options that you want for about $30K or a little over that.

Also I had the same opinion as you regarding the heated seats but now that I have them I will never buy a daily driver with out them....actually I would opt for heated seats over any other option...they rule in winter

Mine are good and the heated seats are AWESOME. All my cars will be leather with them from now on!

Haha thats what im worried about, i have a tendancy to go a little over board with mods on my cars, i've already been looking at the turbo/cooler/chip/exhaust upgrades

O.K i spoke to the owner and its still under finance for more than he's asking, so im a little reluctant now.

Has anyone bought a car with finance owing on it?
Im assuming i pay the finance company the money he's after (being the $25,500) and he pays the rest thats owing then its all good?

If anyone has any info or help on the subject that'd be great
