          Polo love and question

          This one I think?

Mostly flash Golf R's and S3's last time i saw it. The Pog that gets washed only when it rains looked distinctly out of place!

Does anyone know if a low coolant level will activate the cel light? I've just riced out the pog with a pod filter and put a mini filter on the Sai. So I guess that could be the issue.

If what you've done with the SAI is put a filter on the end of the tube that used to plug into the air box (or even a shorter one more directly to the SAI pump inlet) then that should be ok. I believe coolant bottle level will generate an engine light. I left mine unplugged accidentally when I did my engine mounts and it brought up an error which I'm pretty sure would mimic a coolant level below the sensed minimum level.

I get low coolant light every now and again due a small leak at water pump, doesn't cause a cel, just a low coolant light that flashes.

Run a diagnostic and came up with the recirculating air flap motor was faulty. Had a quick look and freed it up. Cleared the other old codes and now all good it seems to run better that the old codes are cleared(maybe just a placebo effect). Topped up the coolant just to be safe.
On another note, man pods make the pog sound a lot more gruntier and no need for an aftermarket BOV.

Vent to atmosphere BOV in my experience causes car to stutter during take off. I closed mine up and it the stutter went away so I would steer clear of a fully open BOV if you think of it later down the track.

VWs aren't designed to run vent to atmosphere. The air is measured going through the MAF, if you let it out of the system, it screws with the maths.

Coolant level doesn't trigger a CEL, it does put on a warning for the level.

Only ever ran a full atmo BOV on the WRX. I don't want that much attention on the pog. The pod filter gives me enough of a whoosh.
Gav, yeah the coolant light came on and then I worked out that every time I flicked the recirc AC on it threw a code. All sorted now though.

On another note. Has anyone used or had experience using the accelerator module from kraftwerks?

Buy a downpipe and tune. Twice the money but will actually make over 60hp more.

There's a great number of things that represent better value than this. Suspension mods come to mind first.

A tune is definitely something I'm looking at.
Has anyone redone(vinyl or paint) the silver trim on the inside of the car. My silver is wearing away in a spot or two and was thinking of just carbon wrapping the whole lot.

                                Well what an interesting night. Decided I'd do a quick history check on the pog (yes should've done one before I brought it) and found out its been a repairable right off twice. Here's the report;
                                NEVDIS Written off Vehicle Notifcation:
                                WA, 07 Feb 2014 - Repairable Write-off
I02A [Impact | Driver front | Heavy panel]
I01A [Impact | Passenger front | Heavy panel]

                                WA, 18 Jul 2011, Repairable Write-off
I02A [Impact | Driver front | Heavy panel]
I01A [Impact | Passenger front | Heavy panel]

So it turnes out the whole front of the car is almost new. Which would explain the immaculate rims, the clean engine bay and the respray of the whole car.
What pisses me off is that the guy selling it owned it during the last accident and didn't tell me. I just took his word when he said it's been in no crashes.
