  • Advice needed windscreen replacement

driving home this morning and started to see a line coming from the side of my windscreen. As i kept driving the line getting bigger then i realized i have a crack in my windscreen. Anyway i rang a couple of companies for replacement costs and was wondering your opinion.

Windscreens obrien quoted $385.00 but would need to go into their branch about 45 minutes away.

VW quoted $345.00 just for the screen.

RACV would install it for 125.00

    And national windscreens quoted $185.00

i am thinking of going with national as they are the closest and cheapest.

    You thoughts

    Thanks Piotr

Don't understand how O'Brien are still in business. They're always ridiculously expensive.

I've had two windscreens done through National (both on my old Lancer) and been very happy with the work.

Might this be covered by your insurance? I know some insurance companies (such as Shannons who insure my golf) provide one free windscreen per year.

      Just a thought
