Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    go to www.goapr.com.au

you will find what you are looking for there.

alternatively, PM Guy_H on this site, he's the main APR bloke we all speak to when we have things we need.

Thanks for the info. Are there any pics of the SEAT intake as I've noticed quite a few people have done this mod. What sort of $ on average for this and what sort of performance gain does this usually give.

Yeah I was a little worried about the stock engine mounts with the extra power. Did you do yours at the same time? If not how long did the stockies last before destroying themselves?
      Cheers,

          pics and installation: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...ead.php?t=6160

as for the places to get the intake....either speak to shaneth (go to the 'business home pages' section and look for EUROKRAFT) or Tim www.dubaddiction.com.au (details also in the 'business home pages' section).

i have not done the mount inserts or the intake as yet. my tax return has not come through yet. have heard nothing but good remarks on the mount inserts but the seat intake apparently theres no noticable difference, but is worth getting done with the chip and required higher air flow

Thats an interestng comment mate. Considering Both Alwestonvp did a big writeup on it testing the airflow and restrictions and it shows how it increases airflow. but hey each to there own. my airfilter and TIP and intake have definitly made a difference.
And also Davemack, eddy and myself did testing as well. Its all on here somewhere.

thats why i said apparently because i remember reading a few months ago (on here) that just with the SEAT intake there is not a real noticeable difference. it won't stop me getting one anyway, as it will be peace of mind for me due to the car being chipped.
