  • Suspension parts....

Does anyone have the part number for the Koni Sports Kit (Yellow adjustable shocks and Springs)?

I have been quoted $1460 by Wholesale suspension in Penrith which seem pretty good, just want to ensure they are quoting the correct parts.

Also where do you get the powerflex bushes?, I have seen a few people post, but have not found a reference to a supplier here or in the UK. I have the part numbers and have found UK suppliers, just looking for peoples experiences and who they would recommend.

Seat Cupra front wishbone rear bush, any one got them? or know where to source them (apart from a Seat dealer in the UK) They seem popular in the UK.

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers

Speak to Shaneth (EuroKraft). He can get them cheap (he has them on his too).

He also has the bushes, not on the car yet though.

Im in the process of making a kit for the bushes which will include the powerflex front wishbone front bush and the seat ibiza front wishbone rear bush. I have the rear bush already just got prices for the front bush and then ill put them up. Shouldnt be to far away.

The reason why the seat ibiza one is so popular even though its not poly is because apparently we have a voided bush in the front wishbone rear bush (stuff me im sick of typing that) which the powerflex just slips into not replace and the surround for these are plastic as well. Now the Seat ibiza one is a solid unit with metal surround. And from what i have been reading you wont wear it out in a hurry. Oh and its roughly half price as well.

That suspension price adam go is very good, but be aware afaik there is only one kit in australia, got bought over with mine when someone on here ordered it and then bought a new car. and if my experience was anything to go by you will be waiting a while for them to get more in on a boat (think they are still using rowers ) so your best bet would be to fork a little more out for air frieght if you have the option.

Cheers guys, Shaneth any idea when the bushes will be ready?
I want to wait until I have them so I can fit with the suspension.

Interesting re the Konis, Wholesale said stock was no problem....makes me worried, I wanted them on asap.

I could bring in a kit from the UK.....at least there are more options, freight is the killer.

Thats great, it has to go back to the stealer for the gearbox? (not the usual issue) and to get the fluid changed the week after next.

I was planning to do the suspension the following week if possible (if the konis exist) so that should work out well.

Pardon my ignorance, but, what do the bushes do? What affect it will have on the car? Is it a stand-alone mod or does it go with other suspension mods? What sort of price range are they also? DIY or mechanic?

Thanks in advance for all the answers.

Apparently the Seat sport wishbone bushes/Powerflex wishbone bushes stiffen up the steering geometry and limit vibration through the steering wheel, particularly under load. More relevant for re-mapped/modified cars as the extra output can wear the standard ones quickly.
