I've got silver Superturismo's.[16X7]Cost around $2000 a couple of years ago.
Bought one extra from Tirerack a while back for around $365 delivered,

I've recieved my Audi TT wheels, they are pretty badly marked, but not much touch to the alloy.

So I will need to have them repainted.

          Wheels currently look like this:

I was thinking a light silver as I like white wheels with a red car, but know I'm not going to be diligent enough for pure white...

          Opinions?

dont be soft. Bright silver is just as hard to keep clean as white. Believe me

go white! and get some 205/40's for those puppy's. Dont get goddam truck tyres for the love of god!

225's will rub with that offset and width (been there) and the 205 will have just the tiiiinnniieessst amount of stretch (with a 7.5" wide wheel) to set off the cars look.

45's look like a MONSTER profile on a Polo with 17's. You'll regret it

Toyo Proxy 4's are a great tyre and come in the 205/40 spec

I've spoken to a local shop, need to talk to them again. Do you know someone?

I've been wanting something that will sit as wide as is reasonable (without spacers) since I got my last rims. I really like my current wheels, but want some width. Hope I don't have to take it up any...

I think I'll keep my current tyres as finances are tight. I was thinking about these for track purposes, but the low offset does not allow anything wider than the 205...

White ey... I think I'll see what they can do in a white/silver'ish sorta thing...

I just had bad gutter rash repaired and the guy who did it was working on a set of wheels changing them from Dark Gray Metallic ones to Polished Metal look ... they looked very nice. I was talking to him about painting wheels and the stuff he can do ... anyway, only had rash repaired but if you want another quote talk to "Magman - Workshop for Wheels", he is at Punchbowl on 9709-2686.

what offset are the Audi wheels?? 32???

best to keep your other wheels as track wheels. Those TT wheels will look bollocks with some 205/40's! I know my 17x7.5's ET35's fill the guards nicely with the 205's.

Although I wouldnt mind spacing the back juusstt that little bit

I reckon anthracite grey looks good. White and bright silver get too dirty, but then they look pretty flat, easy to clean.

Yeah 32, I think they are going to be spot on. They will be about as wide as the car can accommodate.

Don't think I'll keep my Siatas for the track, they are too nice to store away so will sell them, hopefully to someone on here so I can see them in action. They are not too heavy, but want something lighter for track work.

Ok, so I've decided to paint my wheels gray with a gloss finish.

The question is which grey! I'm after something between white and charcoal / anthracite / 50/50 (black white).

Any images or codes would be appreciated.

Dropped my wheels off this morning for undercoat and collected this afternoon.

They are coming up quite nicely, I'm glad as so far I've spent more than 10 hours cleaning, filling and sanding the wheels... Good thing I have lots of time on my hands.

I've changed my mind on the colour again, I'm thinking a medium to dark silver with a very subtle blue in it to contrast to the red of the car. The wheels will not look at all blue, just give a better contrast to the car.
Its handy having a GF who does design and has an eye for these things...
