    Sharkie said that.

Any interest in a Polo meet in Brisbane? (have to leave the GTI off for you Justin )

My suggestions are some sort of track day, or a cruise (Mt Nebo?).

Obviously, we could extend the invitation to those pesky larger cars to bring numbers up if we want.

    Chuck some ideas/responses here.

I realise this could go in the meet section of the forum, but since the suggestion is Polo only at this stage we could move it later if other don't want that.

Been lurking for a while now, coming up to 6 months of owning my Polo GTI.

I'd be up for this. Considering a chip and would like to meet up with some people who have done so.

Guy might be able to help on the logistics of what we'd need to do to have a track day (Qld Raceway, Lakeside etc) Morgan Park is a fairly long way to go, although it is fun.

is willowbank and Queensland Raceway the same place.....i think it is? if so...a track day/drag meet would be good fun. i'd definitely in for a drag meet. would be good fun to get some quarter times down on paper (not to mention the awesome photo opportunities!! ). maybe start off with the drag strip and move to the track afterwards, or vice versa.....

a drag meet would definitely be a good comparison for mods/tyres and how they affect traction and straight line POWAHH!!

someone give QR a call and see what could be possible.

i know it is hard to get track time at QR because it is always bloody booked...but the drag strip is always empty.

The drag strip does 'Test and Tune' every Wednesday night, $36 for driver (and 1 spectator if you want). I was going last Wednesday night but it was rained out. I don't think it would be too fun to do that as the meet, drags get boring pretty quickly.

They are the same place, Willowbank is the drag and QR is the track, run separately I believe.

Up for a cruise of some kind, keep the numbers down though I reckon. Justin and I get up to something pretty much every weekend anyway - Mt Mee run the last weekend, Nebo/Glorious before that & mini Polo photoshoot yesterday.

Not interested in track/drag, but happy to film it should that be the chosen activity.

I'd much prefer track than drag if it was one of the other, couldn't argue against a couple drag runs if they were on the day though

would definitely be up for a cruise.. not too keen on track/drag just yet myself. Still getting used to the car, only 500km's on the clock.

same here, don't feel ready for a track day yet, but a cruise sounds good

I thought that too, being my car was only 4 months old when I did it. I'm addicted, so much fun and surprisingly no danger if you're not an idiot.

i know its hard to please everyone but the recent events have been a track day, dyno day, and a brissy cruise (maybe even 2 recently). gets a bit boring if you have the same thing over and over just to please a few people.

                            just my 2 psi.....

i probably couldn't come anyway as i'm on holidays for 3 weeks as of friday.

Yes but more people need to put there hand up and organise different stuff. What are you suggesting.

edit i think a drag session is what your after, if so why not do a test and tune. cheap easy and these cold nights would be awesome
