Ran on Sunday 10/7/16 Ringwood hillclimb on the A2 (state round) configuration - dry conditions, in road registered type 1 over 2.5L class. Had made a few suspension updates and ended up doing a 44.84s which was 1st in class. I managed to beat the old class record which had been set 2 years ago by an Opel Corsa OPC by a tenth so pretty stoked with that.
New PB at lakeside by a bee's whisker: 62.99sec on 31/7/16.

Should see what Alan and Ben are doing, just WOW. Realistically, I think the car is capable of low 62's, perhaps 61's. But I need some suspension tweaks to get me there. Just not getting that perfect lap yet. 4 of the 6 sectors were bang on the money, but too much spin exiting hungry and hesitating on turn 6 onto the straight.
Alan did a 58.7, Ben 59.4. Phenomenal pace.

I was going to say that realistically you are looking at a perfect lap of low 62's or high 61's.
To get sub 60 second laps like Alan and Ben is just phenominal but requires a whole extra level of dedication.
it shows the overall time sheet and then the class/car breakdowns. Th first row is the 20ft time, the second row is middle sector and last row is final time. Each column is your 5 runs.
My quickest 20ft time was 4.78 sec I think. This was slightly uphill and around a little kink when you're in first. Can anyone tell me how that compares to strip 20ft times for r spec open diff polo's?
I ran in the last nsw state hillclimb championship round that i'll be doing this year. It was at the southern districts motorsport complex (south of Wakefield). If you look up SDMA hillclimb on you tube you'll see the course.
I manage to place 3rd out of the registered state competitors in my class, but we all got done by local club competitors for the first 3 spots.
Conditions were tricky - it was trying its hardest to rain so the sun was in and out from behind the clouds. Its amazing with hillclimbs/cold tyres how just 5 mins of sun on the track will cause times to fall and then you'll go backwards when the track temp drops.
Really happy with the car and my times for a track I'd never been to before - I was pipped by only 1/10th by an HSV gts 6.2L supercharged behemoth so I was happy that I came away from it where I did with the car in one piece.
Starting to nail what I need to do on the start line too for good start splits so that has only taken 1/1/2 years of competing to get to there.
Next year hopefully a wavetrac!!!!
