Rattle

My polo tdi has developed a rattle/vibration behind the dash somewhere near the passenger side of the car.It vibrates all the way through the rev range.Does anyone have a quick fix apart beating the living **** out of the dash,which ive done on several occasions.I dont want to take it to the dealer cause they will just stuff up something else.

Have you cheched the tray below the glove box. It makes a rattly noise in ours.

I have a rattle noise comes and goes its sounds like its near the passanger side pillar dash top area i have herd its common in these cars my cars only done 5500km 2 years and never on bumpy roads i did not think i would get rattles but i now dont give a stuff i just wind the window down a little and the polo exhaust
sound is all i hear or i put on some tunes cars are cars i was expecting better from a german car but ya cant have everything i used to have a subaru forester and it had no such rattle noises i have tried to locate the noise but its hard on ya own i even put a piece of foam in the crack near pillar dash mirror area it helped for a while .I now think hay its a rattle the car still goes get over it enjoy
the other things like muffler sound performance looks ect.
