  • Gritty Feel To Clutch Pedal?

    Hi All,

I have recently noticed that my clutch pedal has developed a gritty/rough feel when pressed

There is no slipping from the clutch, gears engage fine and no crunching from the box.

It's just a rough/gritty feel in the pedal travel past say 50-75%

Has anyone experienced this or have any idea what it could be?

    Throw out bearing? Master/slave cylinder?

    I suspect the throw-out bearing.

Just an update. This issue only starts occurring after 10-15 mins of driving and from outside the car I can hear a creaking noise around the clutch housing. The clutch is smooth/normal when cold

I would thought that creaking as you press the pedal would be something in the linkage, or the pivot where the pedal is.

            Thanks for the input guys.

I'll pick my mechanics brain this week to see what he thinks.
