Is there front underbody plastic protector?

Hi guys, I am wondering is there a front underbody plastic protector? Mine seems like it's out, wondering if just dealer did not fit it on after getting the car serviced... (front sway bar etc)

Any photos of what the front under engine should look like?

Theres definately one on mine. It hit me in the face when I was trying to take it off to do an oil change.

There appear to be two types.Timbo and mine are both 06's-mine has a half length one,Timbo a full length.
We discovered this when fitting dogbone mounts.Mine was done with the undershield on,on Timbo's I had to remove his as it was full length over the front dogbone mount bolt.

Ok...what year is yours? Mine is an Nov 07 build, and has the short underbody tray.

Mine was registered in Feb 06. Meaning the car was very early 06. One of the first to arrive in NZ.

What should I expect on mine?

i got one, mine's 06 built, 07 plated.

cant trust dealer too.
i had my serviced for malfunction door lock. they did not bother to put back the black cover which goes on top of the front speaker.

told them, and got it serviced again. and this time they decided to throw the speaker cover in the bin coz they ran out of time.... nice dealer quality service huh?

Thats huge...mine only goes 5-6 inches from the lip of the front bar...Must make it a bitch to service...Thats where VW get all of their extra labour costs in removing that huge belly tray!!
