Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Josh Davey had to modify a golf one to fit a polo. So I wouldn't spend my money on one. Millteks is polo only.

That's what had me worried. Too good to be true I suppose

I did a fair bit of looking before I settled on my Milltek and concluded that the one above wasn't going to fit, even though the seller told me it would. It was only going to cost about 40 euros to send to NZ too, as opposed to 100 pounds postage for Milltek. What almost caught me out was that the picture shows one with a cat but that price only gets the decat version, which is probably clear if you understand Deutsche!

Save yourself the headache and don't go to RAMP like I did.

+1. A lot easier to get one fabricated, drive in - drive out. Cost wise, depending on where you go, some places will be able to make one cheaper then one of the shelf anyways and can be customised to what you'd like (sizing of the piping and choice of cat).

You want the story and pictures, or names of better shops to go to?

You'll get a better result staying local IMO. For the rest of my exhaust ill be heading back to the guy who built it in Brissie.
