Hey Quest,
Don't feel like a holiday to Perth?
We cannot find any mechanic here who is willing to attempt the installation of the Forge TIP.
I have put in my own RSB and Front Strut brace, also Seat Air Intake but I'd be hesitanat to mess around with the TIP.
T Go and I are on a mission to get these things installed.........

But I can assure you, I am not a rich heir !!!
It's just that i spent more than one year to prepare my project and save money for it.
And I'll start to miss some money at the moment...lol !
This forum was for me a really good ressource to learn all i needed.
About the pipe, i think it's just a "noise pipe" which enhances the turbo sound inside the car. There are no sensors on it and I asked to Alex one month ago and he confirmed that.
Anyway, i have to remove it if i want to put my Forge Strut Brace.
Actually, i can't fit it as the pipe is in the way to go.
I think i should get a bit better turbo response but i have to fit the Forge I/C pipe first to put the FSB.
See better pics :

Now where did you get that APR tuned badge? My guess is APR (I am clever)
Its pretty funky...nice.
I got it with my ECU upgrade at Harding Performance in Brisbane.
Ask to Guy_H here on the forum. He is the owner !!

I really know that as i'm facing the same thing here in NC !Originally posted by Chipped View PostHey Quest,

Fitting the TIP is a really painfull task especially if you don't have the good tools but all i can say is that if i did it, you can do it !!
You need tools, time, patience and some "persuasion power" (lol !) like Blitzen talks about here.
The thread above was for me a huge help !
If you want, i can do a full DIY to go ahead with it but you've already have almost everything in this thread and in mine.
Don't hesitate to ask questions mate and i can help you & T Go....
Cheers,
Florian

Yep ! I would be happy to know if you have a hole or something in the firewall that have been covered...Originally posted by Spec83 View PostThanks mate... That pipe is a bit of an odd thing... I'm going to check the firewall out of my car when I get home to see if there is anything on aussie polos...
Thks mate !

Yeah, the Ford Focus XR5 has the same sort of thing for induction noise in the cabin...Buggered if I know why a manufacturer would go to the trouble of installing it though...???

I'll see what it returns when installing the I/C pipe which anyway doesn't let the choice of leaving this induction noise pipe in the bay !

Yer seems a bit silly... I can hear my turbo spooling inside the car anyway..??
On second thought it could be doing exactly the opposite - It could actually act as a noise supperssor if calibrated correctly.. In theory, it could create a harmonic that is 180deg out of phase with the induction noise thus cancelling it completely out. This would make the cabin quieter.
BMW have similar electronic generators on their exhaust systems to lessen NVH levels
