I didn't think it was an option on the GTI? I know the Polo has it as an option, I thought the GTI came with them standard.

            I confirm !!

There is no pillar airbags on the Polo GTI in New Caledonia.
I can take a pic if you don't trust me....

Only one guy in NC who is runnning a MTM Polo GTI, have a pillar mount gauge but in 52mm with two locations due to the tweeter at the bottom of the pillar.
            See it at http://www.octane-nc.com/

Many may not agree, but I personally think it looks 'tacked on'. The edges need to be smoothed out... Otherwise, the idea isnt bad.

Another issue we have in Australia is that the gauges must be mounted below eye level. Which doesnt leave much room with the tweeters as someone forementioned.

Yep, i think the same about the "tacked on" look but it's not my car !!

Otherwise, regarding to law, i think it is not necessary to worry too much that our cars are no longer stock when you get a remap by APR/Revo/GIAC or change suspensions and more...

PS : Shaneth, I will put my stock Dyno Graph on my thread...have a look at !
