Any body know of anyone who still sells these honeycomb grills? I really want a set but don't know of anyone who sells them anymore. By the way, how much are they nowadays?

Hmm...hoping to get a reply from someone soon for the supply of these grill sets. Otherwise I might have to go search myself and see if I can get some sort of group buy pricing. Any suggestions from anyone for the permission to go ahead?

hey they are on E-Bay - i have e-mailed the guys in hong kong about the lower bumper grilles as well as the polo centre armrest which is an additional (US)$20 - thye say flat postal rate to the US of (US)$50 - lets see if they reply to me and if they do indeed ship to South Africa - if so maybe we could do a group buy here from South Africa

but you wont find them in south africa itself - unless you get an entire caractere front bumper with the extended grilles (different size to standard bumper but those have honeycomb grilles - i have been quoted 4000 rand last year for that and its around 14000 for the entire caractere kit fitted)

so if you really want them then only solution is to see if ADAM does another group buy for australia and jump onto that - or import yourself from hong kong

Geezaloo, they're quite expensive. Based on todays exchange rate, it works out to be around $280 AUD!!!

I hope they can give us a better price if we go with a group buy. Has anyone PM'd ADAM about the possibility of another group buy yet? If not I'll PM him then.

For those wanting to get a set off EBay (Hong Kong), my wife bought me a set of the mesh lower grills off of there last October when I ordered my car.

I looked up the email records for it and they took a week to arrive (from her ordering them). Yes, they appear to be VW genuine as they had the VW logos and part numbers on them. Also, like others on here who have ordered them have stated (in other threads) the mesh was open on the lower drivers side so you still have airflow to the SMIC.

Good luck with the exchange rate ... not an ideal time to be ordering things from OS unfortunately.
