First track day at Taupo NZ

I had a fantastic track day yesterday.

Here is a youtube clip. This is my 2nd lap on wards.

I think I may have improved over time, but only got 12 laps at the end, due to time contraints.

And yes, Porsche 966 Turbo is fast...
and that Audi S3 chipped / sway bar / lowered... not bad. I could keep up on straight, but not on corners with my SUV height and FWD.

i'd say by the look of that vid that it was the other way around....it looked as though he demolished you on the straight but you did well and didn't let him get away too much through the twisties.

nice vid mate....where on the boot did you mount the camera by the way...have you got a pic of it on there.

..nice countryside, and gathering by the leisurely pace you were driving, you had ample opportunity to take it all in too ... "guv et sum stuk brow" (nz phonetics)

Hahaha - actually I let him pass on straight, because he was behind me through the corners. Then straight after he passed me, my full acceleration comes on, and it keeps up with it fine. It's S3 chipped.

It's S3 chipped.

..even if that S3 was "chupped", it should have been bumper-to-bumper, heal-and-toe warfare, ...he would have known not to mess with a chupped pog again

more seriously. you did extremely well with std suv suspension good stuf.

however, next time you hit Taupo and you see that S3 in your sights, this is how you need to drive (see url below)..
