  • 9N3 Polo GTI Rubber Boot Liner

    Good evening,

Recently purchased a nice 2008 model Polo GTI, does any one recommend a good supplier of rubber floor mats and boot liner? Don't want a generic version, like ones that are made to fit.

I have a proper VW one in my GTI. I'll get the number off it for you. It's more a high density foam than rubber though.

I bought my boot liner rubber-ish thing and and dash mat and floor mats from custommcarmats.com.au and have been pretty happy. I'd buy from them again.

Do you guys find these things help quieter things down a little? There's no doubt these cars don't have a great deal of sound deadening. Mine's lacking a parcel shelf, which probably doesn't help much either.

          Thanks for the replies guys.

Official part number would be great, will also check out the link.

What about floor mats, thinking for the rear. Have a 20 month old that will be getting in and out of the car every now and then. Thinking the rubber mats will help keep the car in good condition.

Kinda, but I'll tell you a box of premium sound deadener stuck through the car from the b pillar back makes an enormous difference. Time and money well spent.

The parcel tray makes quite a difference. A heavy foam/rubber mat should also help in the boot.

Car audio store. You're looking for Dynamat or an equivalent. Make sure you pull the boot trim completey and get to the insides of the spare wheel well and inside of the rear wings. It's all big metal drum skin. Only problem is you'll start to hear all the interior creaks and rattles in the absence of road noise.

                      Thanks for the help.

After looking online couldn't source a genuine item so went generic which I wasn't keen on. Turned out better than I thought though and does the job.
