Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Not sure how different time-wise between your Pog & my Tig, but my mechanic just did mine for 1 hour labour charge (110). I supplied the Whiteline ones (105 posted).

I'd have thought up to a couple of hours. The labour will far exceed the price of the mounts. But it'll feel better than new once done.

Yes you're probably right ... Mine was up on the hoist already having other work done so that would have cut some of the time component down...

Thanks for all the help guys! Another question though.

Is it common practice to replace the 6 bolts on the Balljoints (Part No: N10127707) and 2 bolts on the front wishbone bush (Part No: N10141801) with new ones when refitting the wishbone?

                Thanks
                Leon

If you were being particular, you would do the front bolts. You should disconnect the ball joint from the hub, 18mm spanner, if the alignment was good before the bushes fell apart. It should be really close again, once you fit the new bushes.

Disturbing the ball joints on the wishbone will need an alignment for sure.
