full atmo? not recommended but u can try out... It will eventually clog ur cat up with excess fuel and then pop eng light... fuel consumption will increase but doesn't mean power will follow. But if u like it and want it on then at lease make the diaphragm adjustment screw (Presumably hks) in tightest setting.

I read so many fourm about a bov, and there are so many different answers...

Some said that those bov with adjustable spring will work as long as you keep the setting to hardest.

So, the bov clog the cat and cause engine light to comes on, what about the MAF sensor? Is that going to cause any damage? Coz some guy on the forum claimed that he replace a few due to the bov...

Don't think its a direct cause... more likely with pod than bov

Love the car, just dun want to fxxx it up... (also no extra $$ to fix it after getting the car)

Try to avoid spending 400 bucks and find out it doesnt work and needs to use the stock one...

How will this clog your cat...? Unless you are running Leaded petrol, it won't happen...

I cant say I have ever seen it happen but I do believe it is possible.

Run rich enough and long enough u will... and if too much unburn petrol gone in to exhaust, u may not even need to physically gut ur cat (darn the RSPCA again lol), the car will back fire an blow the cat to bit.

Yeah...already sorted...I did a bit of reading up about it, and talked to a few of the boys at work...was just something I didn't realise at the time(W don't have Cat Converters on the Diesels we work on...But some of the Diesels comming out these days do have them fitted as well as Carbon Canisters).

                              Check it out here:

                              With Engine Cover off:

Looking from the passenger side to the drivers side:

All you need to fit it are: A pair of multi grips to loosen the clamps holding the BOV onto the Turbo Intake Pipe and the line from the compressor side of the turbo
A pair of side cutters to remove the clamp off the vacuum line on top of the previous Diverter Valve.
A zip tie to clamp down the vacuum line onto the new Diverter/Blow Off Valve.
Ian at Rennenhaus can help you getting this part...Costs about $230 to your door. http://www.rennenhaus.com.au/

Or you can have a look at the Turbo Smart Sports Kompact BOV. I was quoted $320 through Auto Bahn. This BOV fits the same as the above instructions. Be sure to get the 25mm openings on that model, as these are the size of the openings on the pipe work in the Polo GTI.
                              Check that out here:

                              Hope this helps you mate.

PS: I went for the Forge one as it was cheaper, but is also garentee'd not to throw up any ECU codes from the MAF Sensor too.

What settings are people using for the adjustable spring load on the Forge Dual port units?

I had it wound fully clockwise and it had a flutter effect. On a medium setting (about 20 clicks anti clockwise) made a normal noise, but seemed like it might be loosing a tiny bit of boost.

Would the flutter effect when backing off the throttle have a negative effect? Quite liked the novelty...

I run mine about 20 clicks from the tightest setting.
