Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Thanks to Gavin for helping me out the other day so with regards to the 01301 code my next course of action is to check the fuses in the battery cover as some have reported this was the issue.

Looks like something I can't do myself don't have the tool and dont like stuffing around with things I dont know much about any advice who I can take it to to inspect the battery fuse and replace if necessary?

I would love to take it down to Jimmy but getting to the southside is a major issue with working during the week and especially with just a small job (but going there to get the major stuff done seems like the go with some organising around work) and I sort of thought for such a small job I could take it to someone that would do this sort of thing and not charge me the earth for it..

Should I just call RACQ and say I am having battery issues since they were the ones that installed it? Surely they would be able to assist with replacing fuses in batteries?
