  • Bluetooth Mobile Adaptor for Polo GTI

    Hey guys,

I recently purchased a second hand 2006 Polo GTI and I'm looking to get a bluetooth carkit into it.

What are my options? I've seen vague mentions of Parrot kits but can't seem to find any info relating to using these with a PoloGTI and the RC200 radio.

I have the Evolution kit as well, it works really well thru the speakers......I have had to turn magic words off though as if I have a passenger it is WAY too sensitive and keeps turning setero down and trying to make phone calls.......

Do you have this problem, any fix ?

Yup same bit of kit from expansys as well. Great toy works really.

Klaus ??? I've never had that problem when chatting with people in the car, maybe try re-recording the magic word.

Im pretty sure you can set the sensitivity of the microphone.

But mine does the same thing aswell.

            Ok now the question is.

Should I attempt self installation? Or is it a pro only gig? If so, how much did you guys pay to get them installed.

Im pretty sure I paid $120 for a mobile guy to come to my workplace to have it installed.

Id much rather spend the money and have the peace of mind knowing that it has been installed by a professional.

Had mine put in by the guys down at the dealer prior to delivery, not telling you how much it was! Was too much, but thats what you get from a dealer I imagine....
I'll look into the microphone sensitivity.

I have a Nokia CK7 kit, which was installed when I bought the car -- cost c$400 installed, from memory. It mutes the stereo and uses both stereo speakers and its own. I had some echo problems when I first paired a Nokia 6120 handset to it, but that was an issue with the handset firmware, which was subsequently upgraded and resolved the problem. I have an antenna with this kit, subtly mounted inside the windscreen with a cradle coupler to the handset, significantly increasing its range and call quality.
