I am tempted to buy a pair of Koni's to go on the front of mine. One did expire, which resulted in the purchase of the FKs. I think they are ok for the money but spending more would be worth it.

I too have the FK Ak's in my polo - ride quality is harsh and unforgiving on anything but a smooth stretch of motorway. I played with the ride height a lot which made a fair improvement, but my fiancé says it's still terrible. They're NOT a performance coilover by any means - They do noticeably improve the handling over stock and will get you around the track okay as I found out, but they will be no comparison whatsoever to "real" coilovers such as KW's _

I just got my H&R's coilovers from orangetuning, the fellow I'd corresponded with was fantastic. Really quick to communicate, paid via paypal, shipped my gear the next day and arrived in about 1.5wks. Pricing was also the best and the exchange rate from Euro is better than pound.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

I got the H&R coilover's installed last week. Only got to run around suburbia on saturday and had short quick blast last night. It's no comparison to the FK's. Not to be too critical, I avoided driving the car with the FK's, this is much more compliant. They are marginally firmer than the H&R and Bilstein struts but perhaps more resolved on sharp edged bumps. It seems less intrusive/sharp. I've only done 50kms so far. Feel is vastly improved too, even at 50km/h in suburbia, just feels better.
These ones lower height between 20-50mm, I have them set at its lowest on the rear, and a few mm off lowest on the front, they are still quite high. I'm sure they'll settle a bit, but currently sit higher front and rear than the H&R/bilstein set-up. If you want it low, you'll want the lower (up to 80mm) H&R combo. I didn't go that route as that also requires H&R sways bars and H&R front sway bar links. Handling is also my priority, not height.
Height aside, I'm absolutely chuffed with my choice, the car feels great. Off to the track this saturday for some tweeking of swaybars before timeattack the following.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

Noone, what's your opinions on AP for general daily use I'm only looking to drop like 25mm. No intention to slam it. Nor worried about camber etc..2006 Polo GTI | APR Stage1 | PD160 | K&N Panel filter | Forge TIP | Forge DV | Forge IC Piping | Milltek TBE |

i really liked the konis in the FK konigsports i had on my PoD - good range of damping adjustability (from smooth to rock hard), and good range of height adjustment as well, which was REALLY useful for when i got over the whole "ooh my car is nice and low" sillyness, and was able to raise it up so that it actually drove better/ faster.
i liked the konis, and would recommend them to anyone. i'm tempted to get them for my clio, if i decide away from something like AST's.
