  • spark plug change on 2008 1.4l Polo

I have a 2008 Polo 9N3 1.4 Litre and it is due for a routine spark plug change (60,000kms). As I do my own servicing now, I have purchased the relevant tools (T10094A and T1011 to ensure removal of the ignition coils and electrical connectors without damage to either. However, I am unable to dislodge the ignition coils from the spark plugs using a vertical pulling motion with T10094A tool. Is there something I have missed reading in the workshop manual in regard to removal? Do the coils need to be twisted to a certain position before applying the puller? Any assistance in this regard would be appreciated, please.

Have had 90 views but no replies as at 1 May 2014. However, found the information on the VW AUDI forum recently and all is well now.
