Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

Tires and Wheels for 07 Polo GTI ??

    Tires and Wheels for 07 Polo GTI ??

    Just brought a 07 Polo gti over to Perth from the eastern states. Needed to have it inspected to get licensed in WA. The car has failed due to oversize tires. It has 215/35R 18's on it.

    I am trying to find stock wheels and tires to allow me to get it licensed.

    Anyone in WA want to sell a set of tires that will the car to make it over the pits ??

    Tire sticker on the gas cap shows 205/45R16 as the tire size.

    There's a few Polo owners on the forum in Perth. Someone would probably lend you some wheels for beer. must handle badly on the 18s.....

        Man i wish i could help. Normally i would have a full set you could borrow from my polo. But i need to use it this month. I bought a HSV grange last week and it needs to go back to the dealership on monday to fix a few things that they didn't test before i picked it up.

          blitzdz, no worries. I am off north till the 18th, so I will continue my search. I am considering a purchase if I have to.
