Drivers Side Lower A Pillar Removal (Kick Panel) - BONNET RELEASE!!

Hi all!

trying to upgrade my stereo, but have run into a slight little problem...
on the drivers side, I need to remove the kick panel (lower A panel) to run through the door speaker & tweeter wires.

I can't get the panel off because of the bonnet release lever.

Any tips? I tried to pry the lever it off, I didn't want to force it.

I remember I got mine off with a bojo tool, it had a kind of clip lock design, real bugger to figure out..

got it! quite easy, just hold it open and pry the clip off from the back using a flat head screw driver.

my problem was googling 'polo 9n3 bonnet handle' and not just generalising with 'VW bonnet handle'.

worked a treat!
