Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Rhys, got a quote late last year for Eibachs at about $650 + fitting. I'll check my records and find out the Brisbane supplier ... or maybe Jimmymac knows.

I live in Darwin, nothing comes painted!!! Hehehehe...You have to add 10-20% to everything for freight up here. The Eibachs had to come from Sydney.

You could go for the VL Turbo option and just use a hacksaw.

thanks for the info guys, but yeah i do need prices. the eibach pro-kit is appealing for the price and quality.

and also, what is so bad about king springs?

After looking around, as far as I know, King Springs don't do springs for the Polo GTI. I could only get Eibach's for springs only.

H&R don't list the Cup kit for the Polo GTI, what is the product code? Does anyone know of a supplier in Brisbane?

Well you can get custom KMAC springs made to any height for $550 installed. Thats what I have. I would suggest you get shocks to match although I havent yet.

kingers arent that bad (ill get shot down for that), but they are pretty harsh springs rates (ive got them in my mk1 and my read end doesnt even bounce if you push on it!)
