  • Interior quality

Well, I haven't had any issues at all with the engine, and the car does not have any major rattles either . However, I have had a few issues with the interior of the car, particularly with pedals falling off and my map light switch being broken, so that the light is permanently on!

However, my biggest gripe is with the passenger seat. I noticed that due to my habit of resting my left hand on the passenger seat while driving, that the material has started to fade! Has anyone else noticed this? Or am I the only on here that drives like that?

Also, what do you think my chance of getting the seat changed is? Sure it is my fault for having my hand there, but I don't think that seat fabric wearing out in less than 9 months of ownership is right either...

I havent noticed that, but I have had a few issues. Both of the door locks rattle during driving, i can hear the doorseals move when i go over something like a speed bump, and theres a pretty big panel gap between the door and the dash when the door is properly closed.

      I got leather

No squeaks/rattles/etc... but I've had it less than a month.

i've got the pov back, squeeks galore.

noticed the people with leather don't have much of a problem - why are we getting punished? haha

I have lots of rattles and creaks. Hopefully the big one that is deep in the dash will be fixed this week while they fix my gearbox. Interestingly the Jetta courtesy car they have given me has no squeaks or rattles at all and is quieter than a mouse.

modern small hatches are designed to 'flex', that's what you're hearing. it's normal

Have had no dramas, and it is the stiffest chassis I have ever owned(cocks a tyre when I drive into the drive way).

i have the leather interior and i have a squeak on the passenger side, i think between door and dash which annoys me every bump in the road.

also my sunroof vibrates when it is at tilt at 2600 revs.

I have leather interior also, the quality seems ok. Try using some leather conditioners, that may help, I'm not sure. I do also get rattles/squeaks from the rear suspension area, can't really hear it unless I turn off the radio. Getting them checked out soon. I also have a piece of white wire hanging lose inside the rear left passenger speaker box, not sure where that came from either. Sunroof seems fine though, no noise or rattles, touch wood.

umm shouldn't you have both hands on the steering wheel.
try some automotive fabric cleaner, it might be just human skin oil.

I do............things can happen very quickly when you are driving and any delay in responding can have catastropic results.

                          Cheers

Depends on the situation..... I mean if I am sitting or crawling in peak hour traffic (which is where I spend a lot of my driving), I am not going to have both my hands on the wheel. Going at speed on a road with lots of possibilities for collisions or loss of control is where I use the two hands.

Will try the fabric cleaner (the car is non-leather) this weekend.

On the topic of interior quality, the round adjuster for seat recliner on my passenger seat has fell off twice already, although it does just snap back on... It was a bit scary when it first came off...
