New Front Bushes for my Gti - who to install them in Sydney

Thanks for the help guys. Think I'm going to go ahead with the solid SEAT bushes (assuming these are the cupra bushes that everyone raves about) as reading the threads has jogged my memories of the incessant squeaking and creaking of nolathane. I'm still tempted by the anti-lift/dive & castor adjustability of the superpro's though, if you think that their benefits for the street outweighs the creaking!! If I do go for the SEAT rubber bushes, where do Australian forum members usually source theirs from? By the looks of it the SEAT bushes can go in with the subframe still on the car provided the VW tool is used (otherwise the subframe has to come out and a press used) - is this correct? thanks Sam

Jmac (Alba European in the sponsors section) is the usual Australian provider if you don't want to order from OS (usually the UK)

No, if you have the tool, the rubber bushes can be installed without removing the console frames.

With the front Poly bushes I noticed a bit more cabin noise, however this may be due to my tires being at the end of life..
I cannot say they are harsh, if anything they made the whole feel of the car so much better to drive.

I don't get any squeaking what so ever, in my Polo with the Superpro bushes fitted. If you look at how they are fitted you will see why. Rotational movement, not twisting.

I swapped ot the lca with superpro lca items. No odd tools needed if you do a swap. I also put in the remaining tyrolsport locators. The old arms were good but i wanted to put the front end on a diet. A wheel alignment is the only thing needed after the work.

The Polo is built differently to the MK5.

Alright, based on your advice and considering that I'm keeping stock springs, I'm going for the superpro's. few more questions though: 1. are you replacing the LCA front bush at the same time with superpro too, or is it preferable to retain the solid OEM rubber bush for performance reasons and some degree of forgiving-ness? - mines only done 28k km's and i'll keep it if its no detriment. 2. Because the rear LCA bush is stiffer in the vertical plane, is it way harder to get the LCA pushed backwards into it whilst manouvering the front bush into the subframe? ie is there a high chance of damaging the original front LCA bush on re-fitment? 3. Because the superpro is eccentric and pushed in (and some have said just knocked in - no tool needed) has it ever been known to shift position rotationally? there will be no more questions thank you all for your advice thx

The Superpro can't rotate once inserted. I wouldn't hammer one in, you'd damage the outer sleeve too much. The tool is the way to go IMO.

I have ordered some powerflex bushes from PSItuning for this.

I didn't resort to ratchet straps to get the wishbone back in, dead shot mallet and small tyre lever were the tools of choice.

Nah no squeeks at all, more so road noise and bumps, less give in movement = more vibrations transferred to the chassis

I recon its my tires, done nearly 45,000 in the stock set, amazed they still even have tread

Hey Gav, trying to get this right, could not find 1:Rear LCA bushes at PSI, so which make/brand part number and link to site is being recommended here, is it SuperPro?: 2:Are these the front LCA powerflex bushes from PSItuning?
