Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

So Ps diagnosed as well within tollerable ranges, rear washed fixed and looks like they had the midas touch on the headlight movement..

The remote windows is a coding issue, my car has the feature as it operates from the locks but just not from remote, just had a dig around in rosstech vcds app but could not find where it is so ill do a bit more research online..

      Cheers for the info guys...

@Noone hell yeah man.. its like a different car..

@noone - did you move or something man, its been months since I've seem you about?
Recalling a conversation with Jimmy (JMac) going back 4yrs, I don't believe the auto windows is available on the polo's. You can change the door lock sequence, make it beep and what not, but no auto windows. The golf/passat, etc has that feature through VCDS but we lucked out. I haven't researched any further beyond Jimmy's input, but you'd be brave to doubt the man

Have just been out and tried our Polo 6R 77Tsi and if I unlock and hold the button down longer the windows ALL go down until I release the button or they get to the bottom. On locking when they are down, holding the button down for several seconds they all go up and car is locked and indicators flash. Was like that from factory May not work on older models though I guess

come to think of it, its possible the headlamp movement came back when all codes were cleared prior to the APR going on..

That would explain why the following day they worked.

I did find something on VWVortex regarding the Comfort remote windows thing:

              Polo9n.info

It states: The function works only with polos from 2001 to 11.2004. It depends on the communication of the control unit. With the older models this works via the CAN-BUS (up to 11.2004 FIN-9N 5-120000 or 9N-5Y120 245) and the newer (11.2004 - 2009) via the LIN BUS!

              have not tested it tho.

also.. not sure if that contradiction when it states "will only work on 2001 - 11.2004" but then also says "the newer (11.2004 - 2009) via the LIN BUS!" is just something lost in google translate or not..

someone needs to test, I don't have a rosstech cable personally but I'll take the instructions into my VW guys and see if they can input the codes.
