squeek noise when engine start

Hi everyone,

Recently my GTI has been making a ''squeek'' noise when i turn it on.
I dont think its because it might cold because if I'd drive for a while, turn it off then turn it back on it might do it again.
At first I thought it was the Timing Belt but now I'm starting to think its the Starter Motor.

hard to say without a noise to hear but if it lasts about 2/3 seconds after you let go of the key when you start the engine then I would say its the starter motor...VDUB...
