Hey guys was just browsing around the GIAC website and came across this http://www.giacusa.com/programs.php?mpid=234 and would like your thoughts I think it’s a bit too much for a 1.8 ltr don’t you think? Maybe a little bit too overboard for the little beast? I mean, how fast does it need to be? Considering the traction issues we face. I can just imagine what the price would be on that performance upgrade!

You'd have to consider getting an LSD for around 1500 fitted, for that amount of power, chances you'll still probably spin anyway
Then a large degree of the traction issues should be resolved.80,000km 1997 MK3 VR6 manual for sale - www.vwwatercooled.org.au/forums/f23/80-000km-1997-manual-vr6-nsw-sydney-67658.html

That SW is for the K04, so you'd have to factor the price of that as well. It would be similar power to Guy Hardings Polo GTI with APR and his installed an LSD.Originally posted by archangel_7 View PostHey guys was just browsing around the GIAC website and came across this http://www.giacusa.com/programs.php?mpid=234 and would like your thoughts I think it’s a bit too much for a 1.8 ltr don’t you think? don't think so mate. by the time you get the brakes, suspension and lsd to try and handle all that power you might as well of bought a golf and remapped it. its a lot of $$$ on what is meant to be a low cost everyday performance car. and of course there's the traction..
