Just bought a polo gti in red as a donor car for its engine and gearbox.
I have a mk1 golf so all the rest that's left is up for sale apart from what the previous owner took off it:
Front seats
Steering wheel
Rims

It had a drivers side smash so drivers door and wing are no more...

I was goin to use the factory ecu with a guy from the states who can de-immobilise it so I don't have to use the clocks or ignition barrel.

Good call. Custom-Code can do it too, which was where I was going. Does that come with a tune too?

The guy on vwvortex can do a de-immobilise and stage 1 tune (195bhp) return shipped for $325!
How much is custom code for this?

For a Polo they don't have? Might be a bit of a worry?

Could be fine, but I'd be concerned that they don't use the ME7.5 ECU with any 1.8T's in the US (that I know of). If they have a UK counterpart they are getting the code from, then thats a different story...
