  • EOI Superpro Supaloy control arms for Polo

    Hi all,

have been in contact with Superpro regarding some of their Supaloy control arms for the Polo. They said they would be happy to if they got the interest hence this thread

They currently make them for the MK5 & MK6 Golf and with great success.

Here is a youtube vid to look at plus a thread on them from the MK5 section.

Sounds like a group buy is needed to kick start bringing these to market?

I've got the supaloy control arms on my Octavia (think Golf GTI)
They resolved the axle tramp (during hard launches) problem
They have also improved straight line stability

They have an adjustable ball joint, you can get over 1 degree of negative camber which is great bonus for a fast road setup
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst
APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks
Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels

Spot on mate. And thanks for the feedback! These seems to get excellent and similar reviews no matter what vehicle they are added to.

What are the main benefits of this

weight maybe a few kgs in it
reduce control arm movement at the subframe, but isn't this mostly from the control arm bushes in use?
Martin points out the adjustable ball joint so they allow a small degree of camber (compared to adjustable strut tops) to be dialled in

                  Anything else?

(just trying to justify this vs just doing the LCA bushes)

                    Pretty spot on mate.

Ok so I have sent the initial numbers to Superpro and they are considering putting these into production. Will keep you updated.

                    Cheers.

How does this work? Are the ball joint holes slotted rather than circular holes so that the ball joint can be shifted in or out? Could be good to go along with the camber plates. Any idea of likely pricing...?

I guessing they will be around the same price as the Golf ones or a bit cheaper

A bit expensive just to gain 1 degree camber

Yes, you can often get up to 1.5 degrees of camber
Not sure if it's wise to go much further (with camber plates as well)

I have 3 degrees with camber plates, dont need any more !!!

In saying that, if they were cheap enough i would buy them, seeing as the setup is different to a MKV it should be quite a bit cheaper
