Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

No it can't on it's own but the info you get from it may help find it.

I agree with GT3. Dyno is only useful when you have a previous dyno from the same site with same machine. So you can make exact comparisons.

Check all the bolts around tubes.

As mentioned above, VAG COM will assist you sorting out the problem.

Since your car is under warranty, just take it to the dealer or VW specialist to get it sorted.

If you think the power has come down, I am sure it has. You haven't by any chance, turn the chip off (if you have chip installed)?? Try to turn the tune off and turn it back on just to make sure.

If it's not a major decrease in power I think you'll find there is no problem and that maybe you've just gotten used to it - it's happened to most of us unfortunately. Their lustre does wear off after time and sometimes we get our hopes up a little to high when doing these little mods.

I hate to say it but there is a lot of blaming and naming and shaming i feel. Concentrate on fixing the issue and not going on about how this is no good or that is useless unless you have facts, like Davemack says tests have been done and proven on this mod. Secondly please dont tar all techs with same brush we dont all blame others, some of us out there are trying to do the right thing. Get the thing checked from scratch before blaming a simple mod man.
Cheers ( sorry about the rant but i feel the need as there is too many threads wasted going on instead of helping and fixing the issues)

Jimmy, As per my post I am not blaming nor concentrating on the seat mod to use as a blame for lake as performance. AGAIN I am asking for feedback and reccommendations......for the 2nd time.

Hopefully I can sort thru this challenge and for the 3rd time I dont believe its thru the intake mod!!!!!!!!!

vagcom will not find a small boost leak.look for cracks on hoses or a hose that is partially hanging off.try jiggling the hose at the clamp and if it moves or comes off, well there it is.
is your car still under warrenty?

Fella firstly take a deep breath im only trying to help and i do enjoy doing so. I wasnt aiming at you in particular. Threads like this sometimes get out of hand and the naming and shaming starts. Being a Tech myself i get my back up when outs are used on the Techs. We are not all doing the wrong thing. Mate ill help you as much as possible hey!!!! I cant stress this enough. there is loads of experience on here. If you were up here i would have it in the shop for sure, easier than fixing on the net. Anyway i hope you have some luck with ya POG.
Keep us posted and like i say we are here to help.
                    Cheers

                        Update

I have an Update. I decided I was going to change the stock intake back to the SEAT one today.

As I was about to install the SEAT intake I noticed I had mutated the intake while installing it the last time and found that I pinched the intake and it now has a small hole in it.

So thats what would have been the factor for the loss of performance.

Very dissapointing as Ive thrown $200 out the door.

Get a piece of black brake duct pipe and use that.

Under $50 and does the same job.
