Here's a quick cheap mod which I feel toughened up my little GTI.

as above. There are no audio controls.

The wheel is the same size... thicker in most areas with a flat bottom.


It's a straight swap, using the original airbag/horn component. Takes about 10mins to change over.

edit: The wheel looks huge in the photo because I had it pulled right out for the install.

Hmm, has anybody priced one of these through VW locally?

If they have them we may even be able to arrange one of those group buy thingies if enough people are interested.

I'd imagine to buy from VW Aust it would be extremely expensive and I'm sure there'd be questions asked as to why you are buying a Golf wheel.

Warranty would be out the window...
