        Legal = no.

        Bright = yes.

        Safe = yes and no due to the beam pattern (safe for you in terms of your driving, not safe for you in terms of others hitting you cuz they were blinded)

        Fogging = Like Dave said, it's different from VR6. There is a rubber cap, you will need to use silicon like material to make it completely sealed. I said it will increase the chance of fogging, not definately cause it.

        Resistor = some says that because of it's lower watt, the ECU thinks it blown, and will give you warning signs on dash, unless fitted with resistor.

        Personally I would love to do it, but decided against at the end.

        Unless there is a proper projector conversion lights coming out, I won't go there.

        If you want blue / white tint, then try to bulbs recommended by above. Seems like Philips Diamond vision might be the go. Also try PIAA bulbs, they are expensive but I've used it for last 6 years on all my previous rides with fantastic results. 8000k will give you the exact colour you want. But the visibility in rain will not be as good as the factory colour / yellow hue. I would leave the fog lights stock in those events.

                My mate got a cheapish set of bulbs online via ebay. They were really white. I don't know if he touched them when he put them in, or they were just really really cheap and nasty... but about 3 months after they went in, one exploded... left bits of glasses melted into the plastic housing everywhere, looked horrible... and kind of made me think twice about changing mine.

                  Pomme,

                  Yes cheap bulbs can do that. Make sure you use set of latex gloves, and even with that try not to touch it. Expensive bulbs do last long time... PIAA lasted at least 2-3 years. Haven't had much experience with Philips ones.

                  8000k doesn't mean it will be hotter. Usually it's the wattage of the bulbs that will determine the temp. Some bulbs come 55w / even up to 100w. So definately avoid 100w.

                  HID is 35w, and should run cooler really.

                  GT3 - thanks

                  Stock bulbs even though look ugly colour wise, it is quite bright.

                    For those with HID installed, please give us some feedback regarding it.
                    We appreciate that.

                      Not sure if anyone on the driving a Pogo and a member of the forum has completed this mod. For a start ... the reflector in the Pogo headlight would have to be completely replaced with the Projectors necessary for a proper HID installation ... not a small task in itself.

                              hey ScottishPoloGTI

                              did you get an error message on your on-board computer?

                              ive got a set here ready to be fitted, but if its gonna give me the error message i might reconsider.

                              p.s to all those ppl worried about ppl flashing you, why do you guys care what other ppl think of you? if u like them, get it done, dont not do it because other drivers are gonna flash you or whatever stupid reason.

                                Even though I'm against installing taiwanese aftermarket headlights to replace the hellas, Depo have just released a projector headlight for polo. I think its a smart move from them because i wish it came with that option.

                                didn't find it anywhere else i guess its fairly new
