Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Most of you know the car.

    Bought it off Jason.

    We all know the mods..

Just put it on the dyno at my friends place.. since the dyno was only setup for RWD couldn't get the fan in front so only got one good run

    Made 185FWHP and 327ftlb.

Not too interested in numbers, car drives great.

    Kills now include :

    R33 Skyline GTST
    Type X 180
    S2000
    Mazda 3 MPS

Will update this as i go along

Jesse, I know what you mean by not caring about numbers my first time ever on a dyno was less than expected from it but in the end I figured the same as you the car drives crazily so who cares

      Looking forward to this thread

        Nope.

I had Maestro with my old A4 B5, I know this would be different but it has left a sour taste in my mouth.

I will stay with Gav. Local tune, local support, I want to support Gav aswell. Always helps me when I need it, such a top bloke. Car runs great now. If/when I go FT or hybrid, I will use him, for sure!

        Exactly.

My friend with the dyno has a 10sec Torana, he regularly tunes and drives 600+hp cars. The car put a massive smile on his face. He was frothing over it. It's a blast to drive, I don't care for numbers, at all. Just a penis measuring contest, really!?

            Oh,

haha I thought you were referring to:

Welcome to EURODYNE - Maestro 7 Tuning Suite

Just a few little things initially. Re-mounted the gauge DIN tonight. Got it to fit!

Needs new tyres on the rear, probably look at raising it up slightly.. New springs perhaps?!

Build a CAI, service gearbox etc.

Look at a set of wheels for the fronts to run semi/slicks on.

Drive it till the turbo blows, then rods and FT + stage 3 CC!

Had to shave all the sides back to take it back to original size.

When I put the clear coat on it should still be fine!

                    where the magic happens

fixed headlights, shaved off part of the re-bar that would have eventually wore through the ic piping and temp fixing my engine mount
