  • New Wheels

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has a set of these: AUVW 17x7.5 Style615 - MB on their Polo? Just want to make sure they would be the right offset. I was thinking 205/45/17 - yes, I know its a larder diameter but it will help restore the speedo back towards a more accurate reading. Also, if you can recommend somewhere better to get them or similar, please let me know.

    Cheers,

    Scott.

If they are 7.5 and 5x100 a low 20's offset is good, but if you are going a taller, I'm not so sure.
From your sig you're not lowered, so there should be plenty of space with the standard setup.
205's are a pretty safe bet.

IMO, you'd get a better look if you dropped it and painted your current rims in that style. Handle better as well...

If you don't mind the racing look, Enkei's can be pretty cheap from Tirerack and lighter than the stock rims or the replicas which can be quite heavy.

        Re: New Wheels

Just in case you didn't know, the standard wheel on the Fabia RS is 17 x 7.0 and the tyres are Dunlop Sport Maxx 205 45 17s . As the Polo and the Fabia are almost identical, shouldn't that help?
        Next size up is the 18 x 7.5 225 40 18s but I think the rally teams use 18 x 8.0
